MailGate Support Issues Q. I keep getting "Socket error 11001", what's wrong? A. This signifies that there is a DNS issue, where the name of the server MailGate is attempting to connect to can't be resolved to it's Internet IP address. There are several reasons why this could occur: 1. If it occurs when attempting to contact only one particular server, but you can successfully access other servers, it's likely that you have the name incorrectly typed. 2. You may have a bad connection to the Internet - especially if the error occurs sporadically. 3. You may have a firewall blocking the DNS requests.  Return To FAQ |
